A surprise bear cub sighting on the Oak Ridge path turned my hike around
I was halfway up Oak Ridge yesterday (so quiet, usually) when I spotted a bear cub just off the trail, which totally spooked me. I backed away slowly and cut my hike short, but now I'm worried about going back there. Has anyone else run into bears on that trail recently? I'd love some advice on how to handle it or if there's a better time to go.

Nope, and that's what made it SO creepy.

Wasn't there something extra creepy about how still it was? I saw one last year on my street and it was just totally silent and alone. It felt like the start of a horror movie.
