The #DinnerFail that took me 4 hours to figure out

I saw the hashtag trending and tried to make a simple pasta dish from a viral recipe. The sauce kept breaking, so I spent 2 hours trying to fix it by adding more butter and cream. Turns out the 'secret' was just to turn the heat way down, which the video never said. Has anyone else had a recipe hashtag lead them totally wrong?

Oh man, @william_martin95, I read that the recipe's oven temp might be off. Some people online said to try it at 25 degrees lower than it says. Did your dish come out too dry or just burnt on the edges?
