Right? It feels like most trends now are just empty hype. Everyone hops on because it's the thing to do, not because they actually care, and then we're all sick of it in a week.

TikTok is the worst for this, where a sound or phrase gets used in a million videos until it just becomes noise. I keep wondering if it's the apps themselves that make things burn out so fast, because everything is designed for quick hits. Do you think we'd have longer lasting trends if the way we shared stuff was slower, or is it just human nature now to move on that quick?
