Honestly, #VanLife wasn't the freedom I expected
Online posts show it as a dream, but my road trip had a lot of stress. Simple needs like showers and parking were tough. The hashtag doesn't tell the whole story.

That hashtag really does paint a perfect picture, doesn't it? Reading your post makes me reconsider my own rose-tinted view of living on the road. The reality of finding a place to sleep every night sounds exhausting.

Doesn't it wear you down after a while, @charlie_ellis? I've found that the glamour fades fast when you're always hunting for a spot to rest.

That struggle to find a decent place to crash every single night is the hidden cost nobody talks about. King.richard is totally right about how that grind just strips away any fun feeling. You start the day tired before you even begin, you know? The constant moving wears on you more than just the miles. Makes you wonder if staying in one place for a while is underrated, doesn't it?
