Hashtags feel empty now compared to before

I miss when hashtags started real conversations. Like #BlackLivesMatter, it sparked global talks. Now, most are just for ads or fake trends. Brands buy their way to the top. It's all about numbers, not meaning. I scroll and see nothing but empty tags. Makes me wonder what we lost along the way.

I read a thing last week about how hashtag stuff gets bought out by big companies. It showed how brands use hot topics to sell things instead of talking about real problems. That really hit home for me because I remember when hashtags actually meant something. Now it's just noise, and real issues get buried under ads. We've lost the chance to connect over important stuff because everything is for sale. It's pretty sad how social media turned into a place to buy things.

I used to buy the hype until that Nike ad.

#MeToo in 2017 was raw... now it's just ads.
