Unpopular opinion: My trust in single pane glass for old windows is fading fast.

I used to argue that single pane was fine for historic home repairs to keep things authentic. After seeing how much heat leaked out during a cold snap, I'm starting to lean towards thin double glazing. What's your take on balancing old looks with modern efficiency?

Watch your heating bill actually fly out the window?

Yeah, I had a similar issue where my apartment felt like a sealed box and all my plants started drooping. Ended up cracking a window just for them, which probably let some heat out but kept the mold away.

But what if sealing it too tight causes moisture problems? Like my place got super stuffy and windows had condensation all winter, which can lead to mold. Sometimes you need a tiny bit of airflow to stop that.
