Cleaned out the shop and counted over 200 broken blowpipes
I was clearing space and stacked all the bent or cracked ones in a corner, and the pile just kept growing. It hit me that each one probably represents a piece I messed up or a technique I was trying to learn, going back about fifteen years. What's your usual count before you finally scrap a pipe?

Holy cow, over 200? That number is just wild to me. I get having a few spares or some practice pieces, but a whole corner of the shop? That's not just a pile, that's a museum. I have to know, are you keeping them for parts or is it just hard to let go? I'd have run out of space a long time ago.

Ugh I feel that. My garage is basically a graveyard for projects I swore I'd fix someday. It just... happens.
