Spent $250 on a magnetic parts tray and I'm not sure it was worth it
Everyone says they're essential, but mine just slides around on my steel bench and the magnets collect so much metal dust it's a pain to clean. Has anyone found a good way to keep theirs from moving without bolting it down?

Wait you spent two hundred and fifty bucks on a tray? That's wild lol. Mine was like twenty bucks at the hardware store. Maybe you got a super fancy one or something.

Rubber mats are a game changer for keeping things in place, just like Diana140 said. I spilled a whole can of screws once because my cheap tray slid off. Now I use a heavy duty one that clips right onto my belt.
