Just realized my old extension cord was costing me hours...

I kept using a thin 16-gauge cord for my orbital sander, thinking it was fine... until I borrowed my neighbor's 12-gauge one. The sander didn't bog down at all and finished a whole door in half the time. Anyone else have a piece of gear that was secretly holding you back?

Wow, that's a classic case of the cord being the weakest link. @samjohnson is right, it's wild how a simple hose or wire can choke a tool. My old shop vac had a skinny hose that would get clogged if you even looked at a wood chip wrong.

Oh man, same thing with my old air compressor! I was using this flimsy 25-foot hose and couldn't figure out why my impact wrench was so weak. Switched to a shorter, thicker hose and it was like getting a whole new tool. The difference in air flow is no joke.

Classic case of fighting the hose instead of the bolt. Bet you were ready to throw that impact wrench through a window.
