Unpopular opinion: My block's obsession with budget fitness trackers is based on bad reviews
Everyone on my street bought the same cheap step counter because a few viral posts called it a steal. I tried one and the heart rate monitor was off by like 20 beats per minute during a simple walk. Nobody in the comments mentioned how often it loses sync with phones. Now a bunch of us have useless plastic bands on our wrists.

Paige has a point, but is it really that deep? Some folks still care about how well these things work. They can be stylish and actually useful at the same time. It's not like being popular makes them useless. Just seems like a weird thing to get worked up over.
