PSA: Saw a guy's phone melt at a Phoenix music festival last month.

He was using a cheap power bank from a gas station. The thing got so hot it warped his phone case. I only buy Anker or Ugreen now. Anyone got other reliable brands for outdoor stuff?

I've had good luck with some off-brand power banks... never had one melt on me.

Totally get that. Grabbed a cheap one at a gas station once on a road trip. Thing lasted way longer than it had any right to. Sometimes you just get lucky with the no-name stuff. Just gotta watch for the ones that feel cheap or get too hot.
