My phone's screen time hit 8 hours yesterday and it wasn't even a workday.

I was just looking at my weekly report and the number jumped out at me. It was a Sunday, and I spent most of it watching gadget review videos on YouTube, reading long threads here, and checking specs on different sites. I wasn't really doing anything, just bouncing from one new product deep dive to another. The weird part is I can't even name a single thing I learned that was useful. It was just a loop of watching someone unbox the same mid-range phone or compare two nearly identical smartwatches. I have a pile of actual projects at home, but I spent a whole day just absorbing info I'll forget by next week. Has anyone else caught themselves in a review rabbit hole that ate a full day?

Wait, 8 hours? That's a full work day plus overtime. That's wild to me. I mean, I get losing an hour or two, but a whole Sunday? And you can't remember a single useful thing from it. That's got to sting. Makes you wonder what else you could have done with that time if you just closed the browser.

Honestly, it feels like we're all just accepting it as normal. We used to complain about stuff, now we just shrug and say "that's how it is." Makes you wonder what we're giving up without even putting up a fight. The real cost is in how low our expectations have gotten.
