Changed my mind about that $40 phone tripod after a month
Honestly, I thought it was a waste of money for my basic videos, but it made my reviews look way more professional. The cheap little remote that came with it was the game changer. Anyone else have a cheap gadget that ended up being totally worth it?

Yeah, the bit about the ring light looking dumb but working is so true. I bought this tiny clip-on phone microphone for like fifteen bucks at a gas station on a road trip, as a total joke. Looked like a toy, but I used it to record a voice memo in the car and the sound was shockingly clear. Now I keep it in my bag for when I need to record anything quick and don't want it to sound like I'm in a tin can.

Totally get that, the remote is key for no shaky starts. My cheap ring light was the same deal, looked dumb but made a huge difference. Sometimes the simple stuff just works.

Used to think remotes were just extra junk to lose. Then I tried filming a quick tutorial without one and my thumb hitting the screen ruined every take. That little clicker saves so much time in editing now.
