Our weekly finish check-ins have cut down on reworks.

Tbh, talking through each piece as a team helps spot issues early. It saves a ton of hassle in the long run.

Does this work for remote teams too?

Oh man @luna819, your question about remote teams just reminded me of this wild time my friend's fully remote company tried a virtual "coffee chat" system. They matched people randomly across time zones, and one poor guy in California kept getting paired with his boss in London at like 5 AM his time. He'd be on camera in a dark room, whispering so he wouldn't wake anyone, just desperately sipping coffee. It kind of worked for building a weird, sleepy bond, but mostly it just showed how time differences can wreck even the simplest plans. Makes you realize remote work tools need way more flexibility than people think.

Think about how that matching system was set up. I mean, pairing someone in California with London at 5 AM his time isn't a tool problem, it's a planning fail. Maybe they should have let people choose slots or matched by similar time zones. Idk, it just shows companies need to actually consider time differences, not blame the tools. Remote work can work if you make sensible rules first.
