PSA: I paid $300 for a year of a project management app and it's been a total waste
I mean, I got talked into signing up for Asana because everyone said it was the key to getting organized. But honestly, it just added more steps for me to track my three main clients, and I spent more time moving little cards around than doing actual work. Has anyone else found a simpler, maybe even free, way to keep freelance jobs straight without all the fuss?

Tell me about it. I fell for the same hype with Trello a while back. Ended up with so many columns and color-coded cards that just looking at the board gave me anxiety. I was basically doing digital busywork, updating statuses for tasks that took less time than moving the card did. Switched to a basic spreadsheet and never looked back.

Totally get that! I did the exact same thing with Asana last year, building this crazy setup with tags and dependencies. Spent more time making the chart look right than actually doing the work. Felt so freeing to just trash it and go back to a simple text file. Sometimes the fanciest tool just gets in the way of getting stuff done.
