Maybe it's just me, but my freelance workflow completely fell apart during a week in Kyoto
I was so excited to explore, but I underestimated how draining jet lag would be when mixed with client calls across multiple time zones. I mean, waking up at 3 AM to meet a deadline because I miscalculated the time difference was brutal. It made me realize I need a stricter schedule when traveling for work, or maybe just avoid booking trips during busy periods. Idk, but it was a tough lesson in balancing adventure and responsibility.

Kyoto's temples must have felt miles away during those 3 AM calls... I had a similar meltdown in Lisbon last year, trying to submit graphics while dawn broke over the city. Mixing client deadlines with new time zones is like juggling with foggy hands... maybe setting 'off limits' hours for work while traveling could help, even if it means stricter upfront planning. That balance is so hard to find sometimes.

Off limits hours help, but @jana_fox50, the magic often hides in those 3 AM struggles.

What if the foggy juggling is what makes those memories stick? I mean, setting off limits hours sounds practical, but idk, maybe it's just me but I find the overlap oddly inspiring. It's like the mess becomes its own kind of balance.
