Clients texting me at midnight need to stop.

Got a message last night at 11:30 PM asking for a quick change. I was already asleep. This morning, I see three more texts sent after midnight. Setting clear office hours is becoming a must for my sanity.

When they send requests at all hours, it usually means their own schedule is chaotic, and that spills over into your work. So setting office hours isn't just for your peace of mind, it actually forces them to get their act together during normal times.

Setting those office hours saved me lol. I put mine in my email signature and on my website so it's clear. It took a week or two for some clients to get the hint, but now they know not to expect replies after 6 pm. My brain finally gets to clock out, which was the whole point.

Totally agree, putting it in writing makes all the difference. It's exactly like paulsanchez said, it helps them get organized too.
