A client in Denver told me my project updates were too long and confusing

They said straight up, 'I just need to know if we're on track and what's next, not a three page report.' I was sending these detailed weekly emails that took me over an hour to write. Now I send a short Monday email with just three bullet points: done this week, plan for next week, any blockers. It's cut my admin time in half and clients reply faster. How do you guys keep clients updated without wasting time?

Been there, done that. Your new system sounds way better, doesn't it?

Honestly, the old way had its perks though. Sometimes a simpler system is less to manage and easier for everyone to learn. New isn't always better, it's just different. That shiny new setup might bring a whole new set of problems you didn't have before.

Totally agree with @jana119 that shorter updates are way more efficient.
