Tried QuickBooks vs. FreshBooks for 6 months each and the winner was obvious after tax season

Switched from FreshBooks to QuickBooks back in January for my landscaping invoices and spent 4 hours last week digging through categories because the expense tracking couldn't handle my material costs the way I needed it to - has anyone else found that one bookkeeping tool just clicks with their line of work way better than the other?

QuickBooks works better for real business costs like materials and inventory, just try it for your landscaping invoices.

Did you finally make the switch from spreadsheets too? I was hesitant at first but once I got my inventory and material costs set up it saved me a ton of time on invoices. It just makes tracking everything for landscaping way simpler than juggling paper receipts.

Yeah inventory setup is the part that actually makes it worth it. @riley_taylor nailed it about saving time once you get materials organized. I spent a whole weekend just getting my lumber and gravel items listed right but after that invoices basically write themselves. Just gotta be careful not to overcomplicate the categories at first or it gets messy fast.
