Showerthought: My biggest client from 3 years ago still hasn't paid the final $1,200 invoice.

I just saw their new ad campaign on a bus stop downtown and it felt like a punch in the gut, so what's the longest you've waited on a payment that never came?

Did you ever send a follow up or try to collect? After three years that money is probably gone for good.

Ugh, that's brutal to see. Derek656 is right that it's likely gone, but I'd still send one last firm letter before you write it off for taxes. Sometimes the shame of being called out works.

Yeah, that "shame of being called out" thing derek656 mentioned... I sent a really blunt email saying I'd have to explain the non-payment to their other vendors. Got a check in a week.
