Rant: My payment processor just froze my account with $4k in it

It happened on Tuesday, right after a big client paid their invoice. I got a generic email saying my account was under review for 'suspicious activity' with no other details. I've been using them for two years with zero issues. I've spent hours on hold with support and they just keep saying the review team will contact me. That money was supposed to cover my rent and a new laptop I need for work. Has anyone else had a payment platform just lock up their funds like this? What did you do to get it sorted out fast?

My buddy had this happen with Stripe. He just kept calling every single day until someone finally looked at it.

It's like the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but for modern customer service.

Stripe actually has pretty good support from what I've seen. Sometimes these things are just a simple mistake that got stuck, not a real policy problem. Do you think @bell.laura's friend maybe just hit a weird one-time bug?
