I finally got to see the old steel mill museum in Pittsburgh and their sand molding display was wild

That sand molding display must be something. My buddy worked in a foundry back in the 80s and he told me about the sand guys. He said they were the toughest people he ever met, working in that heat all day. They could carve those intricate molds by hand, just with simple tools. He said it was like watching an artist work, but in a room that felt like an oven. It's amazing that kind of skill is in a museum now.
