Honestly, I used to think those new ceramic foam filters were just overpriced junk for the crucible. Then last week at the plant in Toledo, a guy on the line showed me his scrap rate dropped from 8% to under 2% after switching. What's the best brand you've used?

Wow, that's a huge drop in scrap! I saw a case study online that backed up what @ryan_gibson84 said, Pyrotek seems to get really consistent results. Might be worth the switch.
