Got a notice about overnight work limits from the borough.
It came in the mail yesterday. How are other shops handling these kinds of rules?

It's funny how common this is. We always put off small issues until they blow up. Like when my friend ignored a leaky faucet and now his bathroom floor is ruined. Or at work, skipping software updates leads to bigger crashes later. Why do we keep doing this even when we know the cost? What's the worst fallout you've seen from pushing things aside?

Ever notice how many rules only get followed once there's actual enforcement? Like parking in loading zones or noise after ten. Seems like half these borough rules just sit in the mail until someone gets a fine, then everyone scrambles. We're probably just gonna keep our night shifts quiet and hope they don't check, which is the same dumb gamble everyone takes. It's gonna take one guy getting a huge penalty to make the whole block suddenly care. Makes you wonder why we wait for the threat instead of just adjusting early.
