I had a bridal bouquet start to fall apart right before the ceremony
It was at a vineyard in Napa, and the wire I'd used on a heavy peony snapped. I quickly used some green floral tape and an extra boutonniere pin to bind it back together, and no one noticed. Has anyone found a stronger wire brand for big blooms like that?

Honestly, maybe it's just me but I'd skip the wire next time. For a heavy peony, a good thick stem wrap is way more reliable.

You know, I always thought a thick stem wrap was the way to go for heavy flowers too. I had a dahlia droop on me last year because the wrap just couldn't hold the weight after a few hours. After that, I switched to a double-wire method with a heavier gauge wire, and it made a huge difference. The stem wrap is great for hiding things, but it doesn't add much strength on its own.

Wait, but that double-wire sounds like overkill. A really solid wrap has never failed me.
