Vent: Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why my face looked like a melting candle

Was messing around with some Snapchat filter on my iPhone 13 and all of a sudden my nose stretched out to like twice its size and my forehead just started rippling. Took me forever to realize it was because I had a crack in my screen protector messing with the face tracking.

The phone isn't the problem, the screen protector did exactly what it was supposed to do. You could have had a cracked screen instead of a cracked protector. Maybe the issue is you staring at your own face in Snapchat filters for 45 minutes instead of just checking your settings first. A little common sense would have saved you all that time. Phones are complicated tools, they aren't magic mirrors. You got distracted by a glitch that was YOUR fault, not some mysterious face tracking conspiracy.

Read an article once that said phone cracks can mess with AR tracking. @cora_scott77 has a point though.

Had a buddy who spent a whole hour freaking out because his car's lane assist kept beeping at him on a straight road... turned out he had a little leaf stuck to his front bumper messing with the sensor. Sometimes it really is the dumb little things.
