The time Snapchats dog filter made my face look like a Picasso painting

I found out from a Reddit thread last week that the face tracking algorithm freaks out when you have a beard over a certain length, which explains why mine turned into a melting mess every time I tried it.

Same thing happened to me, my beard made my face look like a melting clock on that filter. It was both hilarious and terrifying at the same time.

My buddy tried that filter with his beard and it gave him like three extra chins and an eye that floated off to the side, it looked like a cubist nightmare. @kelly385 you are totally right about the melting clock thing, I saw a video where someone's face just stretched out sideways until they looked like a Picasso painting come to life. The algorithm just cannot handle hair that isn't perfectly smooth skin, it goes into full panic mode. My sister has a huge curly afro and the dog filter turned her into a poodle crossed with a giraffe, ears drooping at different heights.
