Vent: Crew split on using power augers for every job
Half my team loves them for speed, but the other half says manual digging is cheaper and less messy on rocky ground. Where do you stand on this?

Yeah, after what maryr77 called them, I can't unsee it. My stance is pretty much decided by the last time I was stubborn and tried an auger in real rocky stuff. I spent more time wrestling with that expensive vibrator than I would have just digging the hole. Sometimes you just have to admit the simple way is the right way.
