Spent $400 on a proper post puller and it saved my back and my day
Had to pull 15 old concrete posts for a demo job in a tight backyard. I was about to try the truck and chain method, which always feels sketchy. My buddy told me to just rent a heavy duty post puller from the rental yard. It took maybe 10 minutes per post with no risk of breaking anything else. Anyone else have a tool rental that turned a nightmare job into a simple one?

That "nightmare job into a simple one" thing is the whole point of the right tool. I see it all the time, people trying to save a buck and just wrecking themselves. It's not just about the money, it's about the time and stress you get back. That's the real win.

Honestly masonm70, sometimes that "right tool" is just a huge waste of cash.

My uncle spent three hours trying to fix a sink with a butter knife and a pair of pliers last month. The plumber he finally called showed up with a basin wrench and had it done in ten minutes. That extra hour of labor cost way more than the tool would have. When does being cheap actually cost you more?
