Watching a friend's thrifted denim jacket go from a $5 find to a custom piece over a weekend totally changed how I see fabric paint.
She used a specific brand of fabric paint, Jacquard Neopaque, and a stencil she cut from a cereal box to add this intricate floral pattern down one sleeve, and now I'm wondering what other simple techniques can totally transform basic garments.

That cereal box stencil idea is GENIUS, I did something similar with freezer paper for a band tee.

Freezer paper is a total game changer for that.

@riveradams, freezer paper's waxy side really locks the paint in for crisp lines.
