My whole collection idea fell apart when the zipper supplier in Portland ghosted me
I mean, I had these five techwear jackets all designed around this specific waterproof zipper from a small supplier I found online. They just stopped replying to my emails two weeks before my deadline, and I had to scramble to find a replacement that didn't look right. Has anyone else had a key material just vanish on them right before a big project?

That's a nightmare scenario. Did you ever find out what happened with the Portland supplier, like if they just went under? I had a similar thing happen with a specific cork fabric I was using for bags. The whole line was built on it, and then my contact just disappeared off the face of the earth. It completely changes the feel of the final piece when you have to swap in a last-minute replacement.

Ever try to track them down? I got so obsessed with one missing supplier I ended up finding their personal LinkedIn, which was just pictures of them renovating a van.

Yeah, that "disappeared off the face of the earth" thing is the worst, @jamesfox. It just kills your whole flow when the core material vanishes.
