My sewing machine jammed so I tried using a fork to fix it

Working on a linen jumpsuit last night. Bobbin thread got tangled in a huge mess. Could not get the little hook out. Tried tweezers, a needle, nothing worked. My friend said, 'Just use a fork.' I laughed but grabbed a small dinner fork from the kitchen. The thin tines actually slid under the thread wad perfectly. Pulled the whole knot out in one go. Saved the project and my sanity. Has anyone else used a kitchen tool as a last ditch sewing fix?

Remember when my buddy used a butter knife to pry out a stuck bobbin case?

A fork is now a certified sewing tool. Next time I'll try a spoon for buttonholes.
