Chiffon was ruining my cuts until I used tissue paper.
I used to mess up when cutting chiffon because it wouldn't stay still. Placing it between tissue paper before cutting made a huge difference. Now my pieces come out perfect every time.

Oh that tissue paper trick is a total game changer. I keep a whole roll of the cheap stuff from the dollar store next to my cutting table now. It works wonders on other slippery fabrics too, like silk charmeuse or that really fine rayon. Just remember to go slow with your rotary cutter or scissors, the extra layers can make it a bit tougher to push through.

Ever worry about tissue paper bits getting stuck in the seams later? Or does it just tear away clean?

Yeah but have you seen how much waste that creates? It's like adding extra trash and can gum up your scissors too, lol.
