Wasted $150 on a set of fancy pulling nippers that bent on the third shoe

Bought those high-end titanium nippers from a brand I won't name, third shoe and the jaw just gave out. Tried to warranty them and got ghosted by their customer service. Anyone else have luck with the old-school Diamond brand ones?

...and here I am still using the same pair of cheap nippers I bought at a tack sale ten years ago, mostly because I'm too clumsy to notice when they start slipping. I think the real problem is that I'm a farrier who can't keep a tool straight for more than a week, not the brand. The old Diamond ones are solid though, my buddy has a set that's been through three horses that apparently kick harder than mine.

Three horses with bad attitudes will test any tool, not just the brand.

@dixon.spencer has a point, some horses just test everything you own.
