Tried a different rasp on a draft horse with flat feet, and the owner said it was the first time he'd seen the horse stand still for a full trim.

Reminds me of my buddy's old mule that hated hoof work. He was always dancing around, a real pain to handle. Then a farrier showed up with this weird looking rasp he'd ordered from some specialty catalog. The change was instant, like flipping a switch. That mule just sighed and planted his feet, didn't even twitch. My friend said it was the quietest trim in ten years, all down to that one tool. Makes you realize how much the right gear matters for an animal's comfort.

True for people too, @rileyp49. Right tools change everything.

MAN that's such a good example. It's the same with everything really, find the right tool for the job and suddenly the whole world gets a little easier. Once you've felt that difference it's hard to go back to the old way of doing things.
