Switched to a fullered shoe and the horse stopped stumbling altogether

I been using plain stamps for 10 years but tried a fullered shoe on this old gelding last week and he quit tripping in the back. Anyone else notice better traction with fullers on older horses?

Noticed the same thing with off hind on a 17 year old QH, fullers gave him way more grip on gravel and asphalt compared to plain stamps.

Buddy of mine put fullers on his old paint gelding and said the same thing about the back feet on wet pavement. Made a big difference for him.

Nah, fullers are cut into the shoe, not stamped, different thing entirely.
