Remembering that week in October when the rain just wouldn't stop
Got called out to a barn in Springfield where the ground had turned to soup. Every single horse needed a reset, and my forge was set up under a tarp that kept sagging with water. The owner kept apologizing, handing me coffee that tasted like mud, and I was soaked through by 10 AM for three days straight. What's the worst weather week you've ever had to work through?

How did you even get a forge going in that? I can't imagine trying to work hot metal with everything that wet. That whole week sounds like a special kind of misery.

Kept a big tarp over the whole setup and ran a propane forge instead of coal. The real trick was keeping the anvil dry with a towel and oiling it down every hour to stop flash rust. Still had to fight steam coming off the metal the whole time.
