I never believed in using glue-on shoes until a tricky case proved me wrong.
Getting that difficult hoof to hold a shoe without nails felt like a real breakthrough in my work.

Isn't it typical to shrug off new methods until they bail you out of a jam? Your glue shoe moment reminds me of that, where the usual way just fails. As @alicejones pointed out, sometimes the odd fix is the only one that sticks, literally. I notice this with all sorts of things, like how folks won't switch from their old routines until they hit a wall. It's funny how the last resort often becomes the go-to solution.
