I finally built a tool sharpening station in my work truck
Sharpening my tools on the go was always tough. I put together a small bench with a vise and a grinder in the truck bed. It does the job, but driving around knocks things out of place. What do you use to keep everything stable while moving? I might try some foam blocks to cut down on the rattle.

Honestly, the vibration is the real killer. A grinder has moving parts that don't like being shaken nonstop. In my experience, even if you lock the tools down, the constant bumps from driving will wreck the grinder's bearings way faster than normal use. You might want to look into a hard case you can pack the whole unit into for transit, then set it up when you're parked.

Saw a guy use bungee cords and tool foam.

That setup sounds like a mess waiting to happen. Bungee cords stretch and foam breaks down, so stuff just ends up sliding around. Seems like a good way to lose tools or damage them.
