That "viral" cat saving a baby from a dog video is totally staged and here is how I know
The camera cuts to the cat reacting a full second before the dog even shows up in the frame, which is a dead giveaway they edited it after filming the cat on its own, so has anyone else caught these pet rescue videos using obvious jump cuts like that?

Oh @emery19 probably knows more about cat acting than I do, and I can't even get my own cat to look at me when I call her name.

I mean, the jump cut thing is pretty obvious once you know to look, but here's the thing nobody talks about - most of these "animal hero" videos on the internet are filmed by content farms. They literally train the animals to perform specific actions on cue. I've seen behind the scenes stuff from accounts that pump out these rescue clips, and it's basically a film set with safety nets and handlers off camera. The cat's probably not saving anything, it's just doing what it was taught to do for a treat.
