That time my neighbor tried to fact-check a Snickers wrapper

I was at a block party last summer in Austin, and my next door neighbor Mark picked up a Snickers bar someone dropped. He pointed at the wrapper and goes "see, it says 'hungry? grab a Snickers' but I read online that's a subliminal message to control your appetite." I asked him where he saw that, he said some Facebook group. I showed him the Snickers website where they openly say they use that tagline since 2010. He just shrugged and said "well they would say that." Has anyone else had a friend just refuse to believe a fact even when you show them the source?

I know a guy from my Tuesday dart league who has a whole folder of screenshots he uses to "debunk" stuff. He once tried to tell me that the moon landing was filmed in a studio in Arizona because the shadows were "wrong." I pulled up a NASA page explaining lunar surface reflectivity and he said the government probably paid the astronomers to lie. Some people just enjoy the feeling of having insider knowledge more than they care about what's actually true.
