Compared two fake news checkers side by side for a month

I got tired of the Snopes debate on here so I spent 30 days using both Snopes and Reuters fact check for every wild story my uncle sends me. Snopes was faster with pop culture stuff but Reuters had way more detail on the political claims. Has anyone else tried running the same story through two different sites to see which one catches the lie faster?

I saw a study that said Snopes catches lies faster on viral topics but Reuters digs deeper into the political ones. Your test seems to back that up from what I've heard.

Actually Jason’s right to question the study size - a dozen cases doesn’t prove much.

Ask what the sample size looked like in that study. I've seen too many of these comparison papers only track a handful of high profile cases and call it conclusive. Without knowing how many claims they tested, the results could just be picking the best examples.
