Almost broke my ankle trying to jump a skateboard off a picnic table at the park last Saturday

I was at Riverside Park with some friends, not even showing off just messing around. That table looked solid from the side but the wood was rotted on the underside... my board slipped right out from under me and I landed hard on my side. Been limping for three days now. Anyone else had a picnic table or random object just betray them like that?

Oh man, picnic tables are total liars. I ate it on a wet bench last fall myself.

Fell right off one myself at the county park last summer, @the_laura. Was a little damp from morning dew and my sneakers just slid right out from under me. Landed flat on my back with my lunch going everywhere. Took me a good minute to get up, and I had to eat my sandwich with grass stuck to it. Still ate it though, because I'm not wasting good food over a wet bench.
