TIL my friend's 'post 3 times a day' TikTok plan is burning her out
She was choosing between that intense schedule or just posting one solid video when she had something good, and after a month of the first plan she's exhausted with no real growth. I convinced her to switch to the 'quality over quantity' method last week and her views actually went up by 15%. Is the 'post constantly' advice just a fad that hurts creators?

Remember my cousin tried that same three-a-day thing for his woodworking channel. He ended up making videos about sanding a single board because he was so tired, and @oliver_morgan is right, it is brutal. The algorithm seems to notice when you stop caring about what you post. My cousin switched to one project video a week, and people actually started sticking around to watch the whole thing.

oliver_morgan nailed it with "the algorithm seems to notice when you stop caring." My buddy went through the exact same thing with his cooking channel. He was so fried from posting two videos a day that he literally made a 3 minute video on how to boil pasta correctly. His views tanked and he almost quit. Now he does one real recipe video every 4-5 days and his watch time is WAY up because people actually sit through the whole thing instead of skipping. It's like the platform rewards effort instead of just volume.
