Has anyone else played around with bloom times and noticed a big change?

reminds me of the time I tried to explain to my buddy why my pour-over was taking so long. i told him the bloom is like the coffee taking its first deep breath before it gives you everything it's got. he just stared at me and said "so it's like a meditation but for beans." i never really thought about it that way until my last relationship ended and i realized i was doing more breathing exercises alone than with my ex. kinda funny how coffee prep makes more sense than people sometimes.

Wish my ex put as much effort into blooming as my coffee does. At least the pour over actually releases something worthwhile in the end, unlike that whole situation.
