My brother called those 10-second video loops a dead end

We were at a cafe in Denver last week and he said the whole 'watch it again' trend is just a trick to keep you scrolling. He pointed out that most of them don't tell a story or teach you anything, they just repeat. It made me realize I've been making content that's all flash and no substance. Has anyone else had a moment that made them question if a trend is actually worth following?

Exactly, it's about using the trend's shape to hold your own stuff. Otherwise you're just making empty boxes.

Wait, you guys are actually making content with substance in those loops?

Your brother has a point about the emptiness of some trends. I hit that wall making dance clips that got views but felt totally forgettable. The trick is using the trend's format but putting your actual interests inside it. I started doing quick loops about fixing old radios instead of just hopping around, and it connected way better. It's okay to ride a trend's wave, but you gotta bring your own water.
