My $50 electric leaf blower died after 2 uses
I bought a cheap leaf blower off Amazon last month to clear my driveway in Cleveland after the big storm. It worked great the first time but on the second use the motor started smoking and just quit on me. Has anyone else had luck with budget yard tools or is this a sign to just spend more upfront?

Yeah you pretty much lit $50 on fire honestly.

That $50 could've bought so many better things too. Like a decent bottle of wine, a couple of movie tickets, or even a really nice lunch somewhere. That money is basically gone and you don't even have something cool to show for it at the end. At least with a regrettable meal you feel full for a few hours. This is just painful to watch honestly.

Read a review once that said cheap electric yard tools are basically built to die after a season or two, so this tracks lol. Probably worth saving up for something with a longer warranty next time.
