Just got back from the mall and saw a line of kids waiting to take pictures with a giant pink stuffed animal
The store clerk said they get a new 'photo-op mascot' every single week, so is this just a new way to get people in the door or are we stuck with these things forever? What's the weirdest one you've seen pop up?

Man, @hollyc92 that eggplant comment reminds me of the time my cousin dressed up as a giant carrot for Halloween and got stuck in the doorway.

Ngl, it's just a new way to get people in the door. They're banking on parents giving in after their kid sees a line for a giant pickle or whatever. Saw one last month that was just a huge, sad-looking turnip. My kid still asked for a picture, and I was the sucker who waited. Feels like we're stuck with them as long as it works. The weirdest part is how fast they turn over, like a new weird friend every Saturday.

Oh totally, @terry_jones is right about them banking on parents giving in! It's like they're using our kids' curiosity against us, and the faster they swap the mascot, the more times we fall for it. Honestly, the weirdest one I saw was a giant, shiny eggplant that looked vaguely rude.
