Changed my mind about those 'smart' water bottles after mine failed mid-run

I bought a $60 smart water bottle back in March that was supposed to track my sips and remind me to hydrate. Last Tuesday it just stopped working during a 5k run, the sensor died and the app wouldn't sync. I ended up chugging from a old plastic Gatorade bottle my friend handed me and honestly it felt the same. The whole 'hydration tracking' thing is just a gimmick when you can pay attention to your own thirst signals. Has anyone else had these fancy bottles die on them or am I the only one?

60 bucks for a bottle that died on a 5k run, that's rough. What brand was it? I'm curious if their customer service did anything for you or just told you to factory reset it.

Did you try reaching out to their support? I bet they just sent some generic response, that's always how these things go.
