Changed my mind about those 'day in the life' videos
For months I thought those super polished 'day in the life' clips were just a boring fad. Watched a creator I follow, Jamie, post one last week. It was just her actually working from home, getting interrupted by her dog, and ordering takeout. She said in the caption 'This is the real one, no aesthetic.' It got way more comments than her usual stuff. People were talking about their own messy days. Made me realize the trend isn't about the perfect video anymore. It's shifting to being real. That's what might make it stick around. Anyone else seeing more 'real' versions of trends pop up?

Yeah that shift to "the real one, no aesthetic" is interesting. Do you think creators are doing this because audiences are tired of the fake stuff, or is it just a new way to get more comments and views?

Both, @averywilliams. It's just the new trend.

Remember that coffee shop video that blew up last month. It felt real because the lighting was bad and the audio was rough. I wonder if that messy look is the new filter.
